DIVING FINALS INFORMATION

1. Site and date: Friday, May 22, 2009 at John C Argue Swim Stadium. Check in 12:30pm-1:30pm; Warm-up 1:00pm- 2:00pm. Meet starts at: 2:00pm

2. Competition in Diving shall be non-classified, and participation in Diving does not jeopardize the classification of the diver, but does count as one of the events in which the student participated. Points will go toward each varsity team scoring (Girls and Boys).

3. Diving will be from the one meter board only.

5. Each school may enter four divers into the League Finals.
Each league will be allowed seven entries in the ALL-CITY DIVING FINALS for boys and seven entries for girls. (Each school is still limited to three events per swimmer). Leagues must hold 11 (different) dives final at their League Finals or separate Diving Final. Divers who qualify for the city finals must fax a completed (11-dive) form to the Athletics Office (213) 207-2209 by Wednesday May 13, 2009.

6. If your diver is disqualified at your League Diving Championships, the diver cannot be eligible for the City Diving Finals.

7. Coaches must accompany divers to the meet and remain for the entire meet.

8. After 5 dives, field will be cut to 16 divers, after 8 dives, field will be cut to 12 divers. This is for both boys and girls.

9. There will be NO DIVING EXHIBITION at the City Swimming Finals.

10. The Diving Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the All-City
Diving Championships on May 22, 2009.
