The National Council on Youth Sports Safety will host the Los Angeles Community Huddle on Concussion on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Pepperdine University; West Los Angeles Graduate Campus; 6100 Center Drive; Los Angeles, CA 90045 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. It's FREE and open to the public.
The National Council on Youth Sports Safety (NCYSS), co-chaired by 16th U.S. Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher and global health leader Dr. Eliot Sorel, is bringing the PASS National Tour to West Los Angeles College on February 7, 2015!
The Los Angeles Community Huddle on Concussion will be a fun and educational opportunity for the entire family. Join NCYSS for innovative breakout sessions on policy, technology, and coaching; create memories in the PASS Photo Booth; and get interactive in sports safety clinics on concussion, hydration, and overuse sponsored by Safe Kids Worldwide! The day ends with The Player's Perspective, a panel of professional athletes moderated by ESPN's Cari Champion.
LAHuddle is FREE and open to the public from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm but space is limited. This event is recommended for student-athletes age 5+, parents, coaches, athletic trainers, officiators, educators, school and league administrators, policymakers, and medical and health professionals.
The program concludes with the Player's Perspective Panel moderated by ESPN's Cari Champion featuring former NFL defensive end and host of ESPN's SportsNation Marcellus Wiley and Nike N7 Ambassador and soccer player Temryss Lane.
