The LA City Section girls’ golf season swung into action last weekend with the preseason Southern California Golf Association Tournament at Maggie Hathaway Golf Course in Los Angeles.
Dorsey, Crenshaw, Roosevelt, LACES, Granada Hills, Bravo, Marshall, Bell, Garfield, LACES and Venice all participated. Granada Hills, the reigning City champion from 2014, defeated Venice 93 - 103 to win the team competition on the nine-hole Par 3 course.
Jo Jo Roecker of Granada Hills won the individual competition with a score of two-over 29. Granada Hill's Elena Gil and Zoe Barba of Venice tied for second with 31 apiece.
