Led by Alex Castillo, Marilyn Garcia, Kimberley de la Cruz, Lakiyah Wagoner, Elicia Orellana and Diana Cuadras, the Birmingham Girls Wrestling team took 5th place at the CIF State Championships this past weekend in Visalia, Calif.
Castillo was crowned the individual State champion of the 170-pound weight class. Congrats to the Lady Patriots for their superb effort representing the CIF LA City Section with class and pride!
