Jefferson High School to Play First Ever Night Football Game!
Jefferson High School, one of the oldest schools in Los Angeles, will play its first night football game on September 1st against Fremont High at 4:00 (JV) and 7:00 (V), and will play three additional night games this season. These games were made possible by donations from LAUSD School Police, LAPD, community boosters and significant efforts by Jefferson HS students. See additional information attached.

Latest Legislative News on Fingerprinting of Coaches
Legislation regarding the fingerprinting of athletic coaches, including volunteers and others who work directly with students, has been signed into law. The bill requires all coaches to be fingerprinted, and takes effect immediately. The bill exempts those coaches whose school district already requires fingerprints to be filed with both the FBI and the DOJ. Consequently, all coaches who have been fingerprinted through LAUSD have already met this requirement.
